Family photo sessions for larger groups of 10 or more people

I’ll often get asked if I offer photography for groups of 10 or more people - YES I do! This is actually a great way to not only invest in photography smartly but also get photos together with all your nearest and dearest.

Investing in a 1-hour photo session for 10 or more people can seem like a big financial investment upfront but when it’s split between you and your family members it works out to be really affordable.

For my sessions, I’ll start with doing photos of everyone together. I use one or two different areas and have a couple of different prompts to get a variety of images like - looking at the camera and then more candid moments looking at each other laughing or walking towards me.

Then we can break into smaller group photos. This means that each side of the family gets a mini session with their own personal set of photos. I’ll spend 5-10 minutes with each group depending on if there are children in these sets.

I’ll capture any group combination or any individual shot that’s asked within the 1-hour session. On average there will be about 40-60 digital files provided to clients and everyone from the photo shoot will have access to the online gallery so they can download their own images directly.

It’s so easy and makes a lot of sense! The only part that can get tricky is picking a date that works for everyone. Wrangle your siblings and parents together, and let’s talk about potential dates.
